CABB GmbH produces a number of synthetic building blocks made from acetic acid at its sites in Gersthofen and Knapsack near Cologne. These comprise a number of all-purpose intermediate products used to make cleaning agents and detergents, adhesives, active ingredients for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals, lacquers or synthetic caffeine. CABB also produces Isobornylacetate, for example, the fragrance used to make spruce scent.
Active worldwide.
CABB delivers approximately 30 substances to more than 50 countries around the world. These are important intermediate products needed for the manufacturing process by customers who make special chemicals used in all areas of daily life.
Our product portfolio comprises:
- Monochloroacetic acids (MCAA), e.g. for special surfactants, thickening agents, synthetic caffeine, herbicides, pharmaceuticals
- MCAA esters for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, fragrances, vitamin A
- Dichloric and trichloric acids for pharmaceuticals
- Chloracetamide as a biocide
- Glycolic acids for cosmetics, detergents, metal working, treating leather
- Sodium acetate for pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs and the agro-industry
- 3-chlorpropionic acid for 'gentle' permanent waves, cosmetics
- Isobornylacetate as fragrances for cleaning agents, bathroom accessories, cosmetics
