IGSIndustriepark Gersthofen Servicegesellschaft

For the sake of the environment.

Environmental protection means at Gersthofen industrial park, that process cycles are developed so that emissions, effluent and waste are not only kept to a minimum, but also that their production is avoided. Efforts are made to recycle any waste which may be produced or to feed the waste back into the process. Since 1975, the industrial park has had its own biological clarification plant for treating effluent containing organic matter.

Environmental protection entails extensive self-monitoring not only with respect to meeting statutory regulations and government requirements, but also to ensure plant operation and capacity. As a result, various measurements are conducted on a continual basis.

Open dialogue.

Companies located at Gersthofen industrial park have attached importance to regular, open dialogue with the surrounding community for years. This mutual open communication has stood the test of time. Companies at the site appreciate being actively involved in this dialogue. A number of events such as open day, plant tours for visitors and school groups, and sponsoring events help to give the public with insight into the on-going activities "behind the plant gates" and inform them about the companies and their products from firsthand knowledge.
